Leon Labovitch
Biography
I’ve always used my science to help engage people with practical new ideas, so on completing university I worked with farmers across the Kingdom of Swaziland, Africa and then also in agricultural extension for the Botswana government. In the United States Mid-West I was Development Manager for Monsanto company, again engaging the sales force and farmers in new products and ways of working. Later in Shell International, I held senior roles in product development, HR and training before embarking on a consulting career. The story continues, developing The Labovitch Consultancy to guide and help clients through change by engaging well. My home is Canterbury UK and together with a lovely family find occasional time for peregrinations near and far, playing the piano and some squash racquets.
Because my life has changed so much, I like working in change and transformation in business. I combine art and science to deliver a complete solution for clients. Good analytical skills and judgement lead to the right solution with strong engagement, motivation and certainty to deliver. I love the challenge of commerce and to see people and companies develop and do well.
These are times of unprecedented change and challenges across business, with a background of uncertain politics and general unrest. I’ve put together a ‘Free Briefing Checklist’ on this website to help clients analyse their business and needs, and also help prepare for Brexit. It’s very worthwhile and will only take a few minutes to complete. Also, you should find the White Papers on various aspects of change and transformation a very interesting read. This is time when we should all be nimble, think about change and seek experienced guidance. To augment programme management there’s a special need to develop corporate identity and purpose through ‘storyboarding’, which is an essential but often overlooked way of gaining buy-in. We are working with many clients in this specific area. My focus will always be on your business and your needs.
